dc.description.abstract | We describe the Spinnstube, a new projection-based Augmented Reality display system for collaborative work environments. By simply attaching the system to a desk, real objects are augmented with virtual objects by using a half-silvered mirror. The display system is designed in a way that its components do not interfere with a table. So a user can freely move his/her hands within the interaction space. A user is able to interact with the system by grabbing and manipulating the real parts under the half-silvered mirror or using task specific input devices to control an application. By arranging up to 4 of these systems around a table, a collaborative work environment can be created. | en_US |
