An interactive editor for a computer-aided documentation system based on Structured Analysis (SA) is described. The paper investigates the potential offered by computer graphics in the implementation of the editor and discusses the hardware and software support that is required. Interactive enforcement of SA rules and the ability to accept non-deterministic input for modeless editing are identified as key factors.en_US
