Even if further discussion leads to a resolution of these and future issues differnt from the author’s, the case is made that a Transformations chapter could be written which would be naturally included in most application-oriented 3D graphics standards.Item Eurographics Conference 1982 Manchester UK8-10 September(Blackwell Publishing Ltd and the Eurographics Association, 1982)Item An Overview of 3D Graphics(Blackwell Publishing Ltd and the Eurographics Association, 1982) Kilgour, A CItem Executive Committee Meeting 8 September 1982, Manchester, UK(Blackwell Publishing Ltd and the Eurographics Association, 1982)Item From the Secretary(Blackwell Publishing Ltd and the Eurographics Association, 1982) Vandoni, C EItem Hidden Lines using the EXCELL Method(Blackwell Publishing Ltd and the Eurographics Association, 1982) Tamminen, M.The Extendible cell (EXCELL) method provides a data structure for efficient coordinate based access. It stores geometric data into computer storage blocks corresponding to disjoint variable sized rectangular cells accessible by an address calculation type directory. Two efficient hidden line algorithms utilizing an EXCELL structure are presented, both of which perform satisfactorily even if central memory is small compared to the total amount of data. The computation time is approximately proportional to the amount of input. An important aspect of the method is that the programs are contained within a "standard" general purpose graphics system.Item Eurographics Conference 1982 Manchester UK8-10 September(Blackwell Publishing Ltd and the Eurographics Association, 1982) Warman, E
